Leadership Team

The Living Rooms is overseen by a group of Trustees who are passionate that the love of God, and the Good News about Jesus is lived out and spread in Inverbervie and beyond.

Pastor – Ken and Veronica (Vee) Dickson

Ken and Vee Dickson both grew up in Kilmarnock and became Christians at that time although they came from very different backgrounds. After they married the Lord led them to Inverbervie and subsequently called them to birth The Living Rooms Christian Fellowship. They have four grown up children and three grandchildren.

Ken has overall responsibility for Bible Teaching and Pastoral Care. He also carries out general maintenance on the building and equipment. Vee has a passion for prayer and Bible reading and shares Ken’s longing to see people in the community coming to know Jesus as their Saviour and for those who are sick to experience healing in Jesus name.

Carole Yorke

Carole moved to Inverbervie from the NE of England 40 years ago. She is married and has 2 grown up daughters and 4 grandchildren. Carole has a passion for prayer and for sharing God’s love and compassion with young and old through the various ministries she is involved with at the Living Rooms. She also enjoys walking and reading.

Maureen Simpson

Maureen originates from the Island of Orkney and lives in Inverbervie with her husband. She has a passion for prayer and has a heart to share her love of the Lord Jesus with others. She enjoys walking her dog, cycling and wild swimming.

Patrick Balmer

Paddy works as a software developer for a global IT consultancy company. He helps with the organising of our Sunday morning All Age service and teaches in the Sunday School. He also plays drums in the worship band and helps to look after all things technical at The Living Rooms. He enjoys cooking, sport, listening to music and gardening.

Elizabeth Balmer

Lizzy is a primary teacher working for Aberdeenshire Council. She helps with the planning of the program for and lead the youth group at our Sunday morning All Age service, leads worship at our Evening service, helps run the creative prayer on a Thursday evening and bakes for various events that take place during the week. She enjoys wild swimming, baking and reading.

Alison Dickson

Ali works as a Pharmacy Technician for NHS Tayside, working within the Community Mental Health Teams across Angus. She enjoys walking, reading books, listening to music and podcasts, baking and wild swimming.

Ali has a passion for Gods word and leads up one of the Bible Study groups on a Sunday morning. She is also involved in the planning of the Sunday morning service, baking for different events and helps run the creative prayer on a Thursday evening.

David Ogilvie

David is one of our worship leaders at our Sunday evening service. He loves music and wild swimming. He is currently studying educational psychology at Abertay university and works part time in the care sector.

John Merson

John Merson is one of our external trustees and is on the staff of Deeside Christian Fellowship Church near Aberdeen. John is an evangelist at heart and amongst his many activities is prison visitation and running an outreach centre in Tillydrone.

William Harrison

William Harrison is one of our external trustees and is a GP in Aberdeen. He is also responsible for the Bible Teaching programme at Hebron Evangelical Church in Aberdeen city centre. William is passionate about making God’s word known today and this has been a great blessing to many including students who are attending university in Aberdeen.
