Statement of Faith

We believe in…

The one true God who exists eternally in three persons―the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world.

The divine inspiration of the whole bible, which is the written Word of God—it is accurate, authoritative, and relevant to our daily lives.

The dignity of all people made male and female in God’s image – to love, be holy and care for creation. However, sin has separated each one of us from God and his purpose for our lives.

The incarnation of God’s eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ—born of the virgin Mary; truly divine and truly human.

The Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man and that He is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and perfect life, died on the cross to take our place, and rose again to prove his victory and empower our lives.

The justification of sinners by the grace of God – that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and accept His will for our lives.

The ministry of God the Holy Spirit to live the holy and blessed lives that God intends for us. We require to be baptised in water and to be filled with the Spirit.

The practice of Believers Baptism by immersion consequent to coming to personal faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord

The Church, both local and universal, is the visible body of the risen Christ.

The Priesthood of all believers—given life by the Spirit and individually equipped so that we can achieve God’s purpose for our lives, which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church, and serve in the community.

The Scriptural Teaching and Practice about Marriage being a lifelong union and commitment between a man and a woman according to their natural birth sex.

The personal and visible return of Jesus Christ as He promised – to fulfil the purposes of God, who will raise all people to judgement, bring eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and establish a new heaven and new earth.
